This policy applies to moderators and chat hosts who fail to uphold their responsibilities, engage in arguments, or violate group expectations.

 

1️⃣ First Offense – Private Discussion & Warning

• The moderator or chat host will receive a verbal or written warning from an admin.

• A private discussion will be held to address the issue and provide guidance.

• If the issue is resolved, no further action is needed.

 

2️⃣ Second Offense – Temporary Suspension from Role

• If the behavior continues, the individual will be temporarily suspended from their role for a set period (e.g., 1-4 weeks).

• They will lose mod/chat host privileges but may remain in the group as a regular member.

• Suspension length will depend on the severity of the violation.

 

3️⃣ Third Offense – Permanent Removal from Role

• If the individual fails to improve after suspension, they will be permanently removed from their moderator or chat host role.

• They may still be allowed to remain in the group as a regular member.

 

4️⃣ Fourth Offense – Removal from the Group

• If the former moderator or chat host continues to cause issues after removal, they will face a suspension or permanent ban from the group.

 

Applicable Violations

These steps apply to moderators and chat hosts who:
Get into arguments with members instead of de-escalating conflicts.
Fail to perform their duties (e.g., ignoring chats, not moderating discussions, missing scheduled duties).
Disrespect fellow moderators, hosts, or admins.
Ignore warnings and continue rule-breaking behavior.

 

Additional Considerations

✅ Context Matters: If a moderator or chat host was provoked or defending themselves, the admin team will review all details before taking action.
✅ Evidence Collection: All disciplinary actions should be supported by screenshots, witness statements, or message logs.
✅ Appeals Process: A moderator or chat host may appeal their suspension or removal if they believe the decision was unfair.

Introduction

To maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed community, Black in Jax Anime enforces strict disciplinary measures for major infractions committed by moderators, chat hosts, or members. This policy outlines what constitutes a major infraction, the disciplinary process, and consequences for violations.

 

1️⃣ Disciplinary Process for Major Infractions

(For serious violations such as harassment, abuse of power, threats, or damaging the group's reputation.)

Step 1: Immediate Investigation

• The admin team will immediately investigate any reports of a major infraction.

• Evidence will be collected, including screenshots, security footage, or witness statements.

Step 2: Temporary Suspension (If Necessary)

• If the situation poses an immediate threat to the group or members, the individual will be suspended from the group and/or events during the investigation.

• Moderators or chat hosts involved in a major infraction will be suspended from their role immediately.

Step 3: Admin Decision & Consequences

• Once reviewed, the admin team will determine appropriate action, which may include:

  • Permanent ban from the group and events.

  • Removal from moderator/chat host position.

  • Formal warning with probationary monitoring.

  • Police involvement for legal infractions (if applicable).

 

Step 4: Final Decision & Documentation

• The final decision will be documented and shared with the necessary moderators/admins.

• No appeals will be allowed for Category 1 & 2 infractions (abuse of power, harassment, or threats).

Abuse of Power (Moderators & Chat Hosts)

• Unfairly banning/kicking members without just cause .

• Using mod/host privileges for personal vendettas (e.g., muting, deleting posts unfairly).

• Leaking private mod/admin discussions or confidential information.

• Encouraging favoritism or bias in enforcing rules.

Harassment & Threats

• Threatening or harassing members (online or in-person).

• Bullying, intimidation, or creating a hostile environment.

• Targeting members based on race, gender, sexuality, or other personal traits.

• Doxxing or sharing private information without consent.

Event Disruptions & Security Risks

• Physical altercations at events (fighting, instigating violence).

• Sneaking in banned individuals or violating event security policies.

• Intentionally disrupting or sabotaging an event.

Reputational Damage & Rule Violations

• Spreading false information about the group, admins, or members.

• Starting or fueling unnecessary drama that damages the group's reputation.

• Openly defying group policies and encouraging others to do the same.

• Engaging in criminal activity while representing the group (e.g., theft, fraud).
